Pricing & Availability

Learn how pricing configuration, sale pricing, price history management, and storefront availability interact across Salesforce Commerce Cloud storefronts and understand how operational decisions impact customer purchasing experiences.

Commercial Operations

Storefront pricing depends on multiple operational systems working together

Across Salesforce Commerce Cloud, storefront pricing behavior is influenced by Price Books, sale pricing configuration, product availability, inventory synchronization, localization workflows, and market-specific operational requirements.

Pricing Operations

Subsidiaries manage storefront pricing while HQ controls catalog creation

Within Teoxane environments, HQ is responsible for creating GEN Codes and SKU structures centrally. Subsidiaries then localize the products for their storefronts by configuring pricing, availability, localization, and operational settings.

Storefront pricing behavior depends on multiple pricing layers working together, including regular pricing, strike-through sale pricing, and prior best price history management. These systems operate independently while influencing the final storefront customer experience.

Pricing configuration is SKU based, meaning operational consistency and correct storefront assignment are essential to ensure products remain purchasable and commercially aligned across localized storefronts.

Pricing Compliance Awareness

Prior Best Price history is maintained manually for Omnibus compliance

For Poland storefronts, Prior Best Price history is used to support Omnibus law compliance requirements. This information is displayed directly on Product Detail Pages alongside strike-through pricing when applicable.

The Prior Best Price process is not automated and must be maintained manually product by product. This operational approach was selected because pricing changes remain relatively limited across Teoxane storefronts.

Operational validation should therefore always confirm storefront pricing behavior, sale pricing visibility, and price history consistency before publishing campaigns or promotional activities.
