The Image Component is one of the simplest and most versatile media components available in Page Designer.

Component Objective

The Image Component displays a standalone image.

The component is intentionally simple and contains only:

• Image
• Image alt

Unlike more structured media components, it does not impose a predefined banner format, text overlay, CTA or specific image dimensions.

This makes it useful whenever an administrator simply needs to place an image within the page structure.

Content Type

The Image Component is an image-only media component.

It does not contain:

• Text content
• Header
• Subheader
• CTA
• Button
• Link
• Predefined image format

If additional content or functionality is required, the Image Component can be combined with other Page Designer components.

Image Specifications

There are no specific image dimensions or aspect-ratio requirements for the Image Component.

Administrators are free to select the image dimensions and proportions appropriate for their design.

The component can therefore accommodate different types of imagery without requiring assets to follow one predefined format.

Placement and Compatibility

The Image Component is highly versatile in terms of placement.

It can be used within structures such as:

• Boxed Layout
• Tab Wrapper
• Various Grid layouts
• Other compatible Page Designer areas

Because there is no predefined image format, the administrator can choose an image appropriate for the available area and intended page composition.

Versatility

The Image Component is one of the most flexible media components because it does not impose a specific business use or visual format.

Its purpose is simply:

Display an image.

This means that its actual use depends entirely on the page being created and the visual selected by the administrator.

It can be used whenever a standalone visual is required and none of the more specialized media components are necessary.

Pairing With Other Components

The Image Component can be used standalone or combined with other Page Designer components.

Because it does not contain its own text or CTA, other components can be positioned around it when additional context or functionality is required.

There is no required pairing.

No Predefined Image Specifications

The Image Component does not enforce or require a specific image dimension or aspect ratio.

Do not apply the image specifications of another Page Designer component to the Image Component.

For example, dimensions defined for Header Banner or other specialized media components do not automatically apply here.

The Component Only Displays an Image

The Image Component does not provide its own text, CTA or other supporting content.

If the requirement includes those elements, either combine the Image Component with other components or consider whether another media component is better suited to the intended design.

Complete the Image Alt Field

Use the Image alt field to provide alternative text appropriate to the selected image.

1. Determine Where the Image Is Required

Identify where the standalone visual should appear within the page.

The Image Component can be used across a wide variety of compatible Page Designer structures.

2. Add the Image Component

Locate Image in the Page Designer component list.

Drag and drop the component into the required location.

Open the component configuration.

3. Select the Image

Locate the required Image field.

Select the image you want to display.

There is no required image dimension or aspect ratio for this component.

Choose the visual according to the intended page design and available space.

4. Configure Image Alt

Locate the Image alt field.

Enter appropriate alternative text for the selected image.

5. Review the Component

Before saving, confirm that:

• The correct image has been selected.
• The image is appropriate for the selected placement.
• The chosen dimensions and proportions work with the intended page design.
• Image alt has been completed appropriately.

6. Click Apply

Once the configuration is complete, click Apply to save the Image Component.

7. Validate the Image on Staging

Validate the completed page on the appropriate staging storefront.

Confirm that:

• The correct image displays.
• The visual works within the selected layout.
• The image proportions are appropriate for the intended design.
• The component integrates correctly with the surrounding content.
• The image displays appropriately across the required responsive views.

There are no predefined image dimensions to validate against. The administrator has full freedom to select the visual format appropriate for the intended design.
