This procedure explains how to install, connect, and use Salesforce Authenticator for secure access to Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

It ensures users can complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) and avoid login issues.

• Without Authenticator, login will fail
  MFA is mandatory for all users
• Do not approve unexpected login requests
  This may indicate unauthorized access
• Losing or changing your phone will block access
  You must contact support to reset MFA
• Notifications must be enabled
  Disabled notifications will delay or block login approval
• Time or network issues may delay requests
  Always check the app manually if no notification is received

1. Install Salesforce Authenticator

Download the application on your mobile device:

• iOS: App Store
• Android: Google Play Store

Search for Salesforce Authenticator and install the app.

2. Open the Application

Launch the app after installation.

Click Add an Account.

3. Start Login from Your Computer

Open your browser and go to the Salesforce Commerce Cloud login page (Business Manager).

Enter your username and password.

Click Log In.

4. Connect Your Account to the Authenticator

A verification screen will appear with a pairing request.

• If prompted with a two-word phrase, check that the same phrase appears in your mobile app
• Tap Connect on your mobile device

👉 This step links your Salesforce account to your phone.

5. Approve the First Login

A notification will be sent to your phone.

• Open the notification
• Tap Approve

You will be logged into Salesforce.

6. Enable Automatic Location-Based Approval (Optional but Recommended)

On your mobile device:

• Allow Location Services for Salesforce Authenticator

👉 This enables faster approvals for trusted locations.

7. Validate Future Logins

For each new login attempt:

• Enter your credentials on your computer
• Receive a notification on your phone
• Tap Approve to complete login

8. Handle Login Without Notification

If you do not receive a push notification:

• Open the Salesforce Authenticator app manually
• Find the pending request
• Tap Approve

9. Add Multiple Accounts (If Needed)

In the app:

• Click Add an Account
• Repeat the pairing process

👉 You can manage multiple Salesforce accounts on the same device.
