The Registration Block is a functional conversion component. Its placement should therefore make the registration experience easy for visitors to discover and access.

Component Objective

The Registration Block Component allows visitors to create an account directly from a Page Designer page.

It provides the predefined registration experience and gives administrators a limited number of configuration options controlling:

• Background Color
• Visibility for registered users

The component is intentionally straightforward.

Primary Use Case

Use the Registration Block when a page should provide visitors with an opportunity to create an account.

Because its purpose is registration, visitors should be able to find and interact with the component easily.

The Registration Block follows the same general placement logic as the Newsletter Block Component. The key difference is the objective:

• Newsletter Block → Newsletter subscription
• Registration Block → Account creation

Predefined Registration Experience

The registration experience itself is provided by the component.

The Page Designer administrator is not using this component to manually construct the individual registration fields.

The component displays the predefined registration experience while Page Designer provides the available component-level configuration.

Placement and Compatibility

The Registration Block can be dropped into different Page Designer areas, but placement should be guided by accessibility and visibility.

Recommended placements are:

1. Main Region
2. Boxed Layout

Either option can work effectively.

The important principle is that visitors should not have difficulty finding the registration experience.

Avoid Unnecessary Nesting

Do not hide the Registration Block behind multiple interactions or deeply nested components.

Even if the component can technically be dropped into other Page Designer structures, use common sense when selecting its placement.

Avoid creating an experience where visitors need to navigate through multiple interactions simply to discover the registration form.

If account registration matters on the page, make the registration experience easy to access.

Background Color

The required Background Color field controls the background treatment of the Registration Block.

Select the appropriate available background option according to the intended page design.

The Background Color must be configured before completing the component.

Hide for Registered Users

The Hide for Registered Users option controls whether the Registration Block remains visible to visitors who are already registered.

When Hide for Registered Users is enabled:

• A registered user browsing the website will not see the Registration Block on the page.

This is particularly relevant for a registration component because an existing registered user does not necessarily need to be presented with another account-creation form.

Use the setting according to the intended experience.

Versatility

The Registration Block has a specific functional purpose.

It is not a generic form component or a general content block.

Its role is to provide account registration functionality.

Its versatility therefore comes primarily from where it can be positioned within an appropriate page rather than from alternative uses of the component itself.

Keep the Registration Block Accessible

Do not bury the Registration Block inside a page structure that requires visitors to go through multiple interactions before discovering it.

The registration experience should remain easy to access.

Prefer Main Region or Boxed Layout

Main Region and Boxed Layout are the recommended placements.

Choose between them according to the page composition rather than forcing the Registration Block into a more complicated nested structure.

Hide for Registered Users Changes Visibility

When Hide for Registered Users is enabled, registered visitors will not see the Registration Block.

Use this setting intentionally according to the intended user experience.

Background Color Is Required

The Background Color field is mandatory and must be configured.

Keep the Component Focused on Registration

The Registration Block is specifically designed for account creation.

Do not treat it as a generic form component or attempt to use it for an unrelated conversion objective.

Do Not Apply Newsletter-Specific Settings

The Registration Block follows the same general logic as the Newsletter Block, but the available settings are not identical.

In particular, the Registration Block does not provide the Show Success Message option available in the Newsletter Block Component.

Only configure the fields actually available within the Registration Block.

1. Determine Whether Account Registration Is Relevant

Before adding the component, confirm that providing visitors with an account-creation opportunity makes sense within the page experience.

The Registration Block should be used when visitors need a clear opportunity to register.

2. Choose an Accessible Placement

Determine where the Registration Block should appear.

Recommended options are:

Visitors should be able to discover the registration experience without navigating through unnecessary interactions.

3. Avoid Deeply Nested Placement

Review the surrounding Page Designer structure.

Avoid placing the Registration Block somewhere that requires multiple clicks or interactions before the registration form becomes accessible.

Keep the registration experience straightforward.

4. Add the Registration Block Component

Locate Registration Block in the Page Designer component list.

Drag and drop it into the required location.

Open the component configuration.

5. Configure Background Color

Locate the required Background Color field.

Select the appropriate available background option for the intended page design.

6. Decide Whether to Hide the Component for Registered Users

Locate Hide for Registered Users.

Determine whether visitors who are already registered should continue to see the Registration Block.

If registered visitors should not see the registration form, enable:

When enabled, registered users browsing the page will not see the component.

7. Review the Configuration

Before saving, confirm that:

• The required Background Color has been configured.
• The Registration Block is positioned somewhere visitors can easily access it.

8. Click Apply

Once the configuration is complete, click Apply to save the Registration Block Component.

9. Validate on Staging

Validate the completed page on the appropriate staging storefront.

Confirm that:

• The Registration Block displays in the intended location.
• The registration experience is easy to discover and access.
• The selected Background Color displays correctly.
• The registration form displays and functions as expected.
• The component integrates appropriately with the surrounding page content.
• The registration experience displays appropriately across the required responsive views.

Where Hide for Registered Users is enabled, also validate the relevant registered-user experience and confirm that the Registration Block is not displayed.
