This procedure explains how to create a campaign where a promotion is automatically applied without requiring a coupon.

This type of campaign is typically used for site-wide or broad commercial activations where all customers benefit from the offer.

• Incorrect use of ADD vs ADD Include can break the promotion
  Using AND instead of OR may make the promotion impossible to trigger
• Mixing qualifiers without clear logic can lead to unexpected behavior
  Always validate how conditions combine before activation
• Broad qualifiers (e.g. full catalog) increase risk
  Any mistake will impact all products
• Overlapping promotions may stack
  Always check other active campaigns
• This type of campaign applies to all users
  Any error is immediately visible on the storefront

1. Create the Promotion

Go to: Merchant Tools → Online Marketing → Promotions

• Click New
• Enter a clear ID
• Enter a clear Name
• Set Enabled to YES
• Set Exclusivity to NO

2. Configure Promotion Rule

• Select Order Promotion
• Condition: Order with number of qualifying products
• Set: Buy 1 or more
• Define discount (e.g. 99.99% or any value)

3. Configure Qualifying Products (Critical)

Click Edit under qualifying products.

You can define qualifiers using:

• Categories → for broad targeting (e.g. full catalog)
• ID → for specific product selection (SKU-based)

Combining Qualifiers:

• ADD → works as AND
• ADD Include → works as OR

Examples:

• ADD (AND): Customer must have ALL selected conditions (e.g. Product A AND Product B)
• ADD Include (OR): Customer must have ANY of the selected conditions (e.g. Product A OR Product B)

You can also combine different qualifier types:

• Category + specific product IDs
• Multiple categories
• Multiple product groups

👉 This allows you to build very flexible conditions, but also introduces risk if misused.

Typical Use Cases:

• Full catalog → use Categories + ALL-PRODUCT
• One product among many → use ID + ADD Include (OR)
• Bundle requirement → use ID + ADD (AND)

Click Save, then Apply.

4. Save the Promotion

Click Save.

5. Create the Campaign

Go to: Merchant Tools → Online Marketing → Campaigns

• Click New
• Enter ID
• Set Enabled to YES

6. Configure Scheduling

• Set Start Date
• Set End Date

7. Configure Targeting

• Select Everyone

8. Assign Promotion

In the Experiences section:

• Click +
• Select the promotion created earlier
• Set Required Qualifiers to ANY

Click Apply.

9. Save and Test

• Click Save
• Add product to cart
• Verify discount applies automatically
