This procedure explains how to create and configure a campaign in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

A campaign is the activation layer that connects coupons and promotions, controls when they are active, and defines who can access them.

• Campaigns without promotions will not apply any discount
  Assigning a coupon alone is not sufficient
• Campaigns without coupons may expose promotions automatically
  This may unintentionally make offers publicly available
• Incorrect scheduling can activate campaigns at the wrong time
  Always verify start and end dates before launch
• Customer group misconfiguration can block users
  Selecting the wrong group may prevent eligible customers from accessing the offer
• Missing experience configuration will prevent promotion triggering
  Promotions must be added in the Experiences section to function
• Changes apply to the storefront upon activation
  Any mistake will directly impact the live customer experience

1. Access Campaigns

Go to: Merchant Tools → Online Marketing → Campaigns

Click New to create a new campaign.

2. Define Campaign ID

• ID: Use a clear and structured naming convention
• Enabled: Set to YES

3. Configure Scheduling

• Set Start Date
• Set End Date

👉 The campaign will only be active within this time window.

4. Define Customer Targeting

Click Edit under Customer Groups and select:

• Everyone
• Registered users
• Unregistered users

Click Apply.

5. Assign Coupons

Click Edit in the Coupons section.

• Search and select the coupon(s) previously created

Click Apply.

6. Assign Promotions

In the Experiences section:

• Click +
• Select Promotion and Product
• Select the promotion created earlier

For Required Qualifiers:

• Select ALL

Click Apply.

7. Save the Campaign

Click Save to finalize the campaign.

8. Validate the Setup

• Ensure the campaign is enabled
• Ensure dates are correct
• Ensure coupon and promotion are assigned

👉 The campaign is now ready for testing and activation.
